Riders Share Title at Stephenville Saddle Bronc Event

Sterling Crawley and Riggin Smith shared the Saddle Bronc title at the Cowboy Capital Of The World PRCA Rodeo in Stephenville, Texas, which ended on Sunday.
Crawley and Smith each had a winning ride of 86 points and won $1,642 each. Crawley’s ride came on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo's Exotic Dancer, and Smith’s ride came Carr Pro Rodeo's No. 764.
Crawley’s winnings were a boost for his No. 28 ranking in the world, as he had $61,124.44 in earnings entering Stephenville. But he still has a tremendous gap to make up to get into the Top 15 and reach the National Finals Rodeo, and there is only one week left in the season.
Crawley, who has more than $1 million in career earnings, won his fourth title of the season, including wins at the Helotes (Texas) Festival Association Rodeo, the Panola County Cattlemen's ProRodeo (Carthage, Texas) and a co-championship at the Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo (Columbus, Ohio).
Smith isn’t in the Top 30 in the event this season. He won his fourth title of the season, adding to his titles at the Osage Bronc Days Xtreme Broncs (Pawhuska, Okla.), the Old Fort Days Rodeo (Fort Smith, Ark.) and the Jackson County Pro Rodeo (Bellevue, Iowa).
Chase Brooks, the No. 12 saddle bronc rider in the world, came in third with a ride of 85.5 points.
