The Wing and Barrel Western Days Rodeo was packed full of star power this weekend in Sonoma, California. With rough stock riders solidifying their positions in the PRCA world standings and timed event athletes competing for those top-15 spots, Wing and Barrel went off with a bang.

Bareback Riding

Kaycee Field's 84.5-point ride on Flying U Rodeo's "Little Red Hot" was enough for him to win the bareback riding in Sonoma. Clayton Biglow followed with an 81.5-point ride. Coming in third with 80.5 points was a tie between Dean Thompson and Mason Clements. All of the cowboys above are in the top-15 to go to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

Steer Wrestling

No. 14 Steer Wrestler Bridger Anderson took home the title with a solid 4.5-second run. Tying for second with a 4.8-second go was No. 8 Dirk Tavenner and No. 9 Stephen Culling. Anderson is not completely safe yet for the NFR, No. 24 Tristan Martin is headed to the Cinch Playoffs Governor's Cup in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, this weekend with an opportunity to shake up the standings.

Team Roping

Tanner James and Wyatt Cox made it look easy out there with a 4.6-second run to win the team roping. Followed by a tie for second with a 5.5-second run, Presto Burgess and Todd Hampton, and Blake Teixeira and Cody Cowden. None of these ropers are in contention for the NFR, nonetheless they competed like they had a shot.

Saddle Bronc Riding

Stetson Dell Wright has done it yet again, sharing the win with K's Thomson, for 86.5-points. Wright rode Rosser Rodeo's "No. 5m" with Thomson aboard Rosser Rodeo's "California Dreamin." Lefty Marvel Holman came in third with an 83-point ride. Wright is just warming up, sitting in the top spot in the standings, he hopes to leave his mark in Sioux Falls this weekend.

Tie-Down Roping

8.7 seconds is all it took for Cody Stewart to become the champion tie-down roper at Wing and Barrel. Almost an entire second behind him was K.C. Miller with a 9.5-second run. Neither one of these ropers are in contention for the NFR. Tuf Cooper snuck his way into the top-15 standings with a 9.7-second go.

Breakaway Roping

Samantha Fulton, No. 15 in the standings, snapped the fastest time of the rodeo with a 2.3-second run. Coming in second was Kaitlyn Anderson and her 2.6-second run. Jessie Jones settled for third place with a 2.7-second run. Fulton is not safe for the National Finals Breakaway Roping, as a few cowgirls have the opportunity to compete at the Sioux Falls Breakaway this weekend.

Barrel Racing

Ann McGilchrist and her horse put on a show with an astonishing 14.88-second run to claim the barrel racing crown. Next in line was Hayle Gibson with a 15.14-second trip around the barrels. Finally, Nellie Miller etched her name into the third place spot with a 15.19-second run. Unfortunately, none of these cowgirls are in contention for NFR or have an invitation to the Governor's Cup, so you can bet their season is over.

Bull Riding

Two-time bull riding champion of the world and currently No. 1 in the standings, Stetson Dell Wright takes home the bull riding buckle on an 87.5-point ride on Rosser Rodeo's "Logun's Legacy." Billy Quillan tried his heart out, but with only an 85-point ride he fell short into second. Right behind him was Jonny Perez and an 84-point ride to put him in third place.

After winning both the saddle bronc riding and the bull riding, Wright was awarded all-around cowboy and given a bonus check at Wing and Barrel Western Days Rodeo. Wright just keeps adding to record season and has no sign of slowing down. You can watch Wright this weekend at the Cinch Playoffs Governor's Cup in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
