It was a weekend full of barrel racing excitement in Waco, Texas, at the Elite Extravaganza Race. Hundreds of barrel racers and their skilled equine partners took to the dirt for a chance to win big paychecks and stunning custom awards.

It is no surprise that Tricia Aldridge and her young stallion, Adios Pantalones, made an appearance. They've taken the barrel industry by storm and continued their winning ways by dominating the Elite.

Adios made a quick trip to the breeding barn on Wednesday before going to Waco for the Elite. Fortunately for Aldridge, Adios stayed focused and on task, proving just how special this young stallion is.

Aldridge and Adios went into round one guns blazing and ran a 15.028, which was good enough to win the round. The next day, the dynamic duo ran an even faster time, placing in the top five. Those two runs put the palomino wonder horse and his owner in the top spot for the average.

The team took home the title of Elite Futurity Champion, a few buckles, over $11,000 in winnings, and a stunning saddle. Aldridge will cherish the award as it is only her second award saddle in her career. This brings their total earnings to $188,646, chipping away at their goal of $300,000.

"I didn't think we'd already be this close this early in the year, but I knew he could do it," said Aldridge. "It's a lot like my mare Fury. I manifested a goal, and we just did it."

Adios and Aldridge have been phenomenal examples of setting and attacking goals head-on. This team is not anywhere close to slowing down!

"I'm looking forward to running at the big incentive races like Ruby Buckle and Diamond Classic coming up. Besides our earnings from Royal Crown and the side-pots with Future Fortunes and Breeders Challenge, all of our money has been open futurities," said Aldridge.

The team is now home getting rested before hitting the road again this coming week to run at The Patriot Event in Fort Worth, Texas.
