Official Stage Set for $1M American Rodeo, Here Are Your Competitors

It took a full year to determine the 10 athletes who will compete for the $1 million crown jewel of rodeo. Here is a guide for rodeo fans to know who will be competing.

The field has finally been determined, and it has taken competitors across the United States to earn the right to be a part of The American Rodeo. March 9 could be a day that someone becomes a millionaire due to rodeo. The final performance of the American Contender Tournament was held on Feb. 10 in Abilene, Texas, and whittled the field to the final five.

15 of the proven best in the country came for the one-round showdown with hopes of being in the top five to advance to The American Rodeo. The five in each event that move on will have the chance to contend for an incredible $1.1 million prize. Should more than one contender win their respective event, the $1 million prize will be split.

The contenders won't have an easy road to victory, as they will be up against the top five from the 2023 PRCA and WPRA World Standings. Without question, these athletes have certainly earned their way to the big stage and will prove to be formidable challengers.
