The Buckeye Equestrian Center in Buckeye, Ariz., is the venue for the Royal Crown Futurity, which runs from Feb. 7-18. The event is a showcase for the best young horses in the game and features team roping, breakaway roping, tie-down roping and barrel racing. The team roping futurities, including the Intermediate Heading and Intermediate Heeling categories, as well as the 4 & Under Heading and 4 & Under Heeling categories, concluded today.

In the Intermediate Heading, Celtic Tuff, ridden by Mike Kunzler and owned by Briena Nicole Wells, took first place with a total score of 597.27 points. The 2018 gelding, sired by Woody Be Tuff and out of Sucha Smartlookn Cat (High Brow Cat) and bred by Center Ranch, earned $7,776 for the owner, $1,843 for the stallion, and $1,229 for the breeder.

In the Intermediate Heeling, Cashing N My Diamond, ridden by Logan Anseth and owned by Mark Beck, secured the top spot with a total score of 593.49 points. The 2018 Royal Crown Stallion, sired by Time For The Diamond and out of Aces N Hollywood (Aceenthehole) and bred by Mark Beck, earned $6,300 for the owner, $1,440 for the stallion, and $960 for the breeder.

In the 4 & Under Heading, Relentless Honor, ridden by Miles Baker and owned by Relentless Remuda, emerged victorious with a total score of 609.99 points. The 2020 mare, sired by One Time Honor and out of All Time Smooth Cat (Smooth As A Cat) and bred by Flag Ranch LLC, earned $7,120 for the owner, $864 for the stallion, and $576 for the breeder.

In the 4 & Under Heeling, Lil Bit O Cash, ridden by Miles Baker and owned by Dasco Cattle Co., secured first place with a total score of 592.82 points. The 2020 gelding, sired by Lil Joe Cash and out of Quick Little Texan (Sugar Bar Buckaroo) and bred by Dawn Cymerman, resulted in $5,960 for the owner, $672 for the stallion, and $448 for the breeder.
