Kirchenschlager & A Painted Sunshine Win Futurity Heading at ARHFA Arizona Sun Circuit
The American Rope Horse Futurity Association (ARHFA) Arizona Sun Circuit has begun at WestWorld of Scottsdale, from March 2-4. The Futurity Heading event kicked off with Tate Kirchenschlager from Stephenville, Texas, leading A Painted Sunshine to an impressive victory. The 2018 gelding by Second Painted Sign out of Miss Freckles Handle scored a total of 900.11, earning owner Riley Weehler from Blockton, Iowa, a remarkable payout of $10,580 for the championship round.
Joseph Harrison from Overbrook, Okla., finished a close second astride Air Force 1 with a notable score of 899.91. Diane Beckmann from Gainesville, Texas, owns the 2019 gelding by One Fabulous Time out of Spooks Bellerina and earned an $8,280.00 payout.
Mike Kunzler from Pueblo, Colo., took the third position partnered with Celtic Tuff, a 2018 gelding by Woody Be Tuff out of Sucha Smartlookin Cat, achieving a score of 898.87. Owner Briena Wells from Le Mars, Iowa, received a payout of $6,900.00 for their outstanding performance.
