No college football team has captured the imagination of fans like the Washington Huskies. The offensive juggernaut is led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who won the Maxwell Award on Friday night. Now, adidas is making its closing argument for Penix's Heisman candidacy.

Ahead of tonight’s Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York City, adidas today released a video celebrating Penix’s historic season and inspirational journey to becoming a Heisman finalist. Check out the Instagram video below.

Penix has transcended greatness this season, leading the Huskies to a 13-0 record, a Pac-12 Championship, and a berth in the College Football Playoff Semifinal. He also leads the nation in passing yards (4,218) and passing yards per game (324.5).

In addition to being the best quarterback in the NCAA for two consecutive seasons, Penix and teammate Rome Odunze made history earlier this season by signing NIL deals with adidas. Since then, adidas unleashed a marketing blitz on behalf of both of its athletes.

Huskies fans can gear up for the the College Football Playoff by shopping their team's entire collection on the adidas website. Adidas will continue to celebrate Penix as he leads the Huskies in their quest for a national championship. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear news from the sports world.
