Summer is almost over, and the new NBA season is right around the corner. As always, hoops fans can expect plenty of unreleased sneakers to launch in the coming months. Thanks to Drake, the sneaker community got its best look yet at one of the most highly anticipated performance models of the year.

On Wednesday night, Drake debuted the first signature sneaker of Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker during his sold-out concert in Glendale, Arizona. The award-winning rapper wore the Nike Book 1 in the "Clay Orange" colorway on stage.

Currently, there is still no official launch date or tech specs for the Nike Book 1. However, we know the "Clay Orange" colorway is expected to be released in Holiday 2023 for $150.

In August, Booker wore the Nike Book 1 in an all-black colorway to conceal its details during a star-studded scrimmage, but the "Clay Orange" colorway was unmistakable during Drake's show. It is only fitting that Drake wears Booker's sneakers in Arizona since he referenced the Suns' shooting guard during Travis Scott's 2018 hit song "Sicko Mode."

Booker turns 27 years old next month as he begins his ninth NBA season. Last July, Booker inked a six-year contract extension with Nike that runs through 2029. Fans can expect 3x NBA All-Star to start the upcoming season in his new hoop shoe and trot out several new colorways leading up to its official release.

Drake's summer tour has given sneakerheads plenty of viral moments to drool over. But seeing the Nike Book 1 "Clay Orange" for the first time might be the best yet. Stay tuned to FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear coverage in the world of sports.
