Fernando Tatis Jr. Impresses Fans With His Custom Cleats
It is no secret that San Diego Padres right fielder Fernando Tatís Jr. is a serious sneakerhead. The MLB All-Star always makes a statement with his footwear before and after games. Now, Tatís plans to do the same on the diamond.
After missing all last season, Tatís is back on the field and raking without missing a beat. Only this time, he is wearing custom cleats. According to Darren Rovel of Action Network HQ, the sneaker free agent plans to wear 30 different custom Air Jordan cleats this season.
Tatís has already set social media ablaze in just three games with custom cleats. The cleats are designed by Stadium Custom Kicks, a company based out of New York City that is quickly becoming a power player in the footwear world.

The Air Jordan 1 High 'Washed Pink' was released on Saturday, April 22, for $180. The old-school basketball shoes quickly sold out online and now have an average resale price of $209 on StockX.
While it is an impressive turnaround time, we should not be surprised that Tatís and Stadium Custom Kicks were able to cook up custom cleats so quickly. While most fans were standing in line or refreshing their phones in hopes of purchasing the sneakers, Tatís already had them turned into baseball cleats.
The Air Jordan 1 'Washed Pink' features a distinctive pink suede and white leather across the uppers. The muslin and sail accents around the collar and midsole provide an aged look for a more relaxed aesthetic. It is an ideal sneaker for casual use but the perfect model for a baseball cleat.
Air Jordan 1 'Travis Scott'

The Air Jordan 1 High 'Travis Scott' was released in May 2019 for $175. The highly-anticipated sneakers sold out instantly and have an average resale price of $1,679 on StockX.
These shoes were the first release of a successful partnership between Nike and rapper Travis Scott. The brown and white colorway features reversed Swoosh logos and other details in red and pink designed by the award-winning rapper.
Most sneakerheads are leery of ever wearing such expensive kicks, but Tatís knows you have to wear your shoes (or, in this case, cleats). The right fielder made a strong debut in the custom 'Travis Scott' Air Jordans and shows no signs of slowing down this season.
