College basketball fans get those goosebumps every time the season begins to gear up. Once preseason rankings and viral videos of midnight madness events start flooding social media, then it is about to get exciting. That is especially true when celebrities like Travis Scott show up to your practice.

Earlier this week, the North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team held its annual blue and white scrimmage. The following day, the team received a surprise visit from Travis, who looked just as happy to spend time with the hoopers as they were with the award-winning rapper. Thanks to the Tar Heels' social media team, fans were treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the extraordinary meeting.

Although Travis is a proud Houston native, his connection to Chapel Hill stems from his strong relationship with Jordan Brand. North Carolina is the flagship NCAA athletic program for Jordan Brand, so Jumpman always supplies Michael Jordan's alma mater with the best gear.

While Travis is known for his "Cactus Jack" sneaker collaborations with Jordan Brand, he ditched the muted colors for a pair of Carolina Blue Air Jordan 1 Low sneakers in a player-exclusive colorway.

Like most of the Tar Heels' footwear, those kicks are never releasing to the public. However, online shoppers can choose between several styles of the model on the Nike website. Follow FanNationKicks.com for all your daily footwear news from the sports world.
