Under Armour Unveils the SlipSpeed Mega
In December 2022, Under Armour changed the game by unveiling the SlipSpeed training shoes. The innovative design featured UA Flow, a collapsible heel, and laceless technology. It was an all-in-one shoe versatile enough to meet the demands of performance and recovery for the modern athlete.
Under Armour will soon launch the next iteration of SlipSpeed footwear - the UA SlipSpeed Mega. The new model includes the same hero innovations and key features that we know and love from its predecessor, but with a few key differences that give this offering more edge and aggression for the bold, style-forward athlete.
Key improvements include an increased midsole height to make it thicker with an aggressive aesthetic that is run-trail inspired. Additionally, an updated upper featuring a ripstop and graphic that rises from the midsole and a narrowed toe box for a faster and sleeker aesthetic.

Under Armour is rolling out this new iteration by targeting the high school varsity athlete first. UA Next high-school athletes were the first to try the new SlipSpeed Mega as their go-to everyday shoe throughout their week in Orlando at the 2023 UA All-America Games. Under Armour founder and Chairman of the Board Kevin Plank hand-delivered the shoes to athletes earlier this week.
Debuting in limited-release colorways curated for these athletes, the UA SlipSpeed Mega 'Fire' and 'Ice' colorways will be available for exclusive purchase on UA.com on January 15, ahead of the global launch of the shoe on February 14. From warmups to cool downs, tunnel walks to game days, the UA SlipSpeed Mega is set to be that go-to shoe for an athlete’s everyday use.
