Michael Chandler Offers Prediction for WrestleMania 40

“I’ve got The Rock”

In what amounted to a welcoming to the TKO-owned era of WWE, UFC fighter Michael Chandler cut a promo on Conor McGregor last night on Raw.

The timing made sense. UFC 298 took place in Anaheim only two days prior at the same venue where Raw took place. More than a handful of the stars were still in the city, and many of them, most notably Chandler, came to Raw.

Chandler made the most of his time on the microphone, calling out McGregor. Their fight was initially slated to take place last year, but it has proven difficult to get McGregor back in the cage. Nevertheless, it is expected to take place this year.

A decades-long wrestling fan, Chandler also spoke with Sports Illustrated to offer his prediction for WrestleMania 40.

While many believe it is time for Cody Rhodes to finish his story, or even for Roman Reigns to extend his title reign, Chandler has an altogether different opinion.

“I got The Rock taking the title,” said Chandler, who believes Dwayne “The Rock” will work his way into the world title match. “He’s coming back to shock everybody.

“All the doubters, all the naysayers, all the crybabies, The Rock is about to put an ass-whooping on all of them.”
