The former AEW star is the first major signing in the Endeavor-owned era of WWE

WWE has made its first major signing in the Endeavor era. And it comes at the expense of AEW.

WWE reps confirmed the news, sending out a press release announcing the signing. Cargill begins her training today at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, where she will seek to take the next step in her career.

Cargill, 31, enjoyed plenty of success in AEW. She set the record for the longest title reign when she held the TBS championship for 508 days. AEW spent serious time building up her winning streak, which reached 60 victories. Her first defeat came this past May, when she dropped the belt to Kris Statlander. Cargill then remained off-camera until earlier this month, when she returned before her contract expired to put over Statlander.

This is a significant signing for WWE. Similar to stars like Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley, Cargill possesses an impressive physique that further adds to her aura. She is also very talented on the microphone, and there is every reason to believe she will become a force for the company on either Raw or SmackDown.

As Cargill trains at the Performance Center, it will be determined whether she needs more time to fine-tune her skills in NXT before she makes her main-roster debut. There is no ceiling for what Cargill can accomplish in WWE, where she has the opportunity to become a signature face of the organization.
