The Central Coast Section plans to announce dates for playoffs for team sports in Season 2, according to the Mercury News.

CCS Commissioner Dave Grissom told the Mercury News that he will "outline the postseason plan to his Board of Managers on Wednesday" since all schools now have a path to postseason competition in team sports following the California Department of Public Health releasing updated youth sports guidance last Wednesday.

There is no update on postseason events for non-team sports at this time.

The Central Coast Section is comprised of six counties and is in a similar position to the Southern Section regarding the ability to hold postseason competitions for non-team sports, like track and field, later this school year. In order to hold championship events for individual sports, Sections have to get the approval from local health authorities since having athletes from all six counties within the Section footprint meet for a championship is currently against California health regulations.

The North Coast Section won't have any playoffs for Season 2 sports, according to the Mercury News.
