GARDEN GROVE– After Orangewood Academy played an outstanding first half to keep it close against the No. 1 team in California and third-ranked team in the country, Etiwanda pulled away in the second half to defeat OA 83-47. The Spartans only trailed by one point halfway through the second quarter and by seven at halftime, but Etiwanda, despite missing starting Ws Daisia Mitchell and Majesty Cade, turned it up to lead 55-42 after three quarters and win the fourth quarter 28-5.

Arguably the top 2024 duo in the country, Destiny Agubata finished with 26 points and 16 rebounds (10 offensive) for the Eagles, and Kennedy Smith scored 21 points to go with four blocks and four steals. Smith and 4-star Washington commit Hannah Stines were matched up and going at each other for much of the game, and Stines finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, including four three-pointers that were all from a different area code. Aliyahna "Puff" Morris scored 17 points for Etiwanda, and Sa'lah Hemingway scored 15.

Juice Brown added nine points and 10 rebounds for Orangewood. Check out our complete highlight video from the game:
