SBLive's Central Coast Section Fab 15 football rankings: Salinas faces Aptos in Game of the Week

One of nation's top rivalry games, St. Ignatius versus Sacred Heart Cathedral at Kezar Stadium is also huge CCS matchup this week

While the West Catholic Athletic League squads continue to beat each other up, the Pacific Coast-Gabilan hosts the Central Coast Section's Game of the Week.

Third-ranked Salinas (6-0) tests its perfect record at red hot Aptos (5-1).

Salinas, which has outscored opponents 270-115, has won four straight in the series including 42-14 last season. Aptos won the first three times in the series, three consecutive years, starting in 2014.

Archbishop Mitty continues to surge up the rankings following a 34-13 romp over Riordan. The fourth-ranked Monarchs (5-1) take on No. 6 Bellarmine (3-3) at San Jose City College on Friday in one of the WCAL's best game.

Bellarmine has won the last two in that series, 42-24 and 26-24, snapping a three game Mitty win streak.

At Kezar Stadium, the Bruce-Mahoney Trophy will be on the line when Sacred Heart Cathedral hosts St. Ignatius in one of the nation's top and longest-running rivalry games.

Top-ranked Serra has to avoid a trap game Saturday when it travels to always dangerous Riordan.
