Watch: Game highlights from Dougherty Valley's thrilling 77-70 win over Granada for EBAL Tourney title

Host Wildcats make big plays down the stretch from Ryan Beasley, monster game from Blake Hudson and constant 3-point daggers by Connor Sevilla to win thriller

SAN RAMON, Calif. — A terrific East Bay Athletic League season was culminated with perhaps even a better tournament.

And it was all finished off with a sterling Dougherty Valley-San Ramon 77-70 home win over battle-tested Granada-Livermore in Saturday's championship game before a loud and packed crowd.

Dougherty Valley had already clinched the league's overall title (based on a point system), but the Wildcats (25-3), ranked 11th in the state by SBLive, wanted the full championship experience: Student body storming the court and players cutting down the nets.

They needed all their massive skills from all its players, especially the Big 3 of Connor Sevilla (25 points), Ryan Beasley (24) and Blake Hudson (20 points, 14 rebounds), to finally put away the Matadors, led by 7-foot post Andrew McKeever (25 points, 16 rebounds) and 3-star prospect Alex Harris (22 points), a 6-7 wing.

Granada led most of the third quarter before back-to-back 3s from Sevilla tied the score 52-52 heading into the fourth. The Matadors hung tough for five minutes and actually led 65-64 on a tip-in by McKeever.

But the Wildcats, with all the massive experience, especially at the guard spot, had too much in the end. USF-bound Beasley scored 13 consecutive points himself.

Watch all the action above.
