California CIF high school football scores, live game updates (10/13/2023)

The 2023 high school football playoffs are quickly approaching across all of California's sections

All eyes were on Southern California Friday night as two of the top high school football teams in the country faced off in their annual Trinity League showdown. And St. John Bosco stunned almost everyone with a thorough 28-0 victory over No. 1 Mater Dei.

The Braves' victory will have a significant impact on the SBLive/Sports Illustrated national rankings, but the two teams will likely meet again in the CIF Southern Section Open Division championship game. 

There were hundreds of big games across California on Friday night (October 13), and more are scheduled for Saturday.
