Jeremiah Marcelin, 3-star rated linebacker, commits to Pittsburgh over Louisville and Maryland

Norland (Florida) three-star linebacker Jeremiah Marcelin made his commitment on Thursday afternoon to the Panthers

MIAMI, FLORIDA- Dade County is rich in linebacker talent on the high school level heading into the 2023 season. 

One of the 305’s top backers in Norland’s Jeremiah Marcelin had narrowed his options down to three schools, but made it be know Thursday afternoon he will be playing up north once his prep career is complete. 

The Norland (Florida) junior linebacker announced Thursday afternoon via Twitter that he is committing to Pittsburgh. The defensive star is a 3-star rated prospect according to 247Sports and also had offers on the table from Akron, Auburn, Louisville and Maryland. 

Last season for the Vikings, Marcelin saw time at linebacker and on the defensive line. Through nine games, Marcelin notched 46 tackles, 28.5 for loss and 8.5 sacks. 

Among his other offers was Cincinnati, UConn, Florida State, Kentucky, Miami (FL), Ole Miss, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF and West Virginia.
