Xavier Porter, 3-star defensive tackle, commits to Louisville over Auburn, Kansas and Penn State
TAMPA, FLORIDA- Last season was a breakthrough for the Tampa Catholic Crusaders, especially notching for notching the elusive victory over rival Jesuit for the first time in two decades.
With the talent the Crusaders have back at their disposal, Tampa Catholic could be in line to make more heads turn. On Saturday, one of the team’s top defenders announced where he’s heading after his days as a Crusader.
Tampa Catholic (Florida) senior defensive tackle Xavier Porter announced Saturday afternoon via Twitter that he is committing to the Cardinals. The defensive tackle is a 3-star rated Class of 2024 prospect according to 247Sports and also had offers on the table from Auburn, Kansas and Penn State.
Porter, a 6-foot-1, 265-pound tackle, was a force in the front seven for Tampa Catholic and totaled 50 tackles, 4.5 for loss, two sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery.
