High school football is back in the Sunshine State and so begins our Player of the Week polls for areas all around the state. Teams started off the regular season with some great individual performances in Week 5.

As such, we have 10 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s North Suncoast Florida high school football offensive player of the week award from September 21-22, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, September 30 at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominations.

Luke Knight, QB, Wiregrass Ranch: The Army commitment had the best game of his prep career, went 27-of-37, throwing for 419 yards and eight touchdowns in the Bulls’ 57-33 win over Harmony.

Bryce Randolph, WR, Wiregrass Ranch: Randolph was the top target for Knight, hauling in six passes for 118 yards and three touchdowns.

Jack Niemann, QB, Cypress Creek: It was a pitch-and-catch kinda day for the Coyotes’ quarterback as Niemann completed 6-of-7 passes for 146 yards and four touchdowns in a 70-6 win over Anclote.

Shaan Patel, WR, Cypress Creek: Patel was the go-to-guy for Niemann, catching four passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns.

John Capel III, RB, Hernando: Running hard as always for the Leopards, Capel III rushed for 119 yards in Hernando’s 34-12 loss to Lecanto.

Tristain Lennon, RB, Zephyrhills: The Bulldogs were more balanced on offense with getting the run game going. Lennon rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-13 win over Gulf.

Brendyn Colella, QB, Zephryhills: Can’t go without mentioning the Bulldogs’ signal caller once again, with Colella completing 14-of-25 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns.

JT Tipton, QB, Lecanto: The sophomore quarterback threw three touchdown passes in the Panthers’ 34-12 romp of Hernando.
