We’ve selected 16 candidates to choose from this past week’s games

High school football is back in the Sunshine State and so begins our Player of the Week polls for areas all around the state. Teams started off the regular season with some great individual performances in Week 10.

As such, we have 16 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s South Suncoast Offensive Football Player of the Week award from October 26-27 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 4 at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Congratulations to last week's winner: Clay Ash, RB, IMG Academy White 

Here are this week's nominations: 

Ben Milliken, QB, Sarasota Christian: The Blazers’ quarterback threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-8 win over Old Plank Christian Academy.

Logan Flaherty, QB, Charlotte: The freshman signal caller completed 15-of-25 for 146 yards and three touchdowns in a 44-7 win over Ida Baker. 

Edd Guerrier, RB, Port Charlotte: The Rutgers commitment rushed for 170 yards and scored three touchdowns in a 49-10 win over Parrish Community.

Ike Perry, RB, Port Charlotte: Perry carried the ball nine times for 90 yards and two touchdowns in the win over the Bulls. 

Joseph Scott, RB, Lemon Bay: Scott rushed for 249 yards on 24 attempts and scored three touchdowns in a 26-18 victory over Sarasota Booker. 

Jordan Johnson, QB, Sarasota Booker: The Tornadoes quarterback completed 19-of-32 for 288 yards and two touchdowns in a 26-18 loss to Lemon Bay. 

Jadyn Glasser, QB, Venice: Glasser completed 15-of-27 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns in the Indians’ 43-0 rout of IMG Academy White. 

Alvin Johnson III, RB, Venice: The tailback had a big night against the Ascenders, rushing for 140 yards and two touchdowns in the Indians’ win. 

Clay Ash, RB, IMG Academy White: Ash rushed for 147 yards on 19 attempts in the Ascenders’ loss to Venice. 

Evan Brown, QB, Saint Stephen’s Episcopal: The quarterback had a monster game in the Falcons’ 56-13 win over Boca Christian. Brown totaled 402 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns. 

Isaiah Belt, RB, Sarasota Riverview: Belt rushed for a game-high 163 yards on 14 carries and three touchdowns in the Rams’ 48-6 win over Sarasota. 

DJ Johnson, RB, Sarasota Riverview: The running back rushed for 140 yards and scored a touchdown in the Rams’ win over the Sailors. 

Trayvon Pinder, RB, Manatee: The tailback rushed for 162 yards on 23 carries and scored four touchdowns in the Hurricanes’ 38-33 win over Palmetto. 

Rok Lodge, WR, Palmetto: Lodge caught eight passes for 132 yards in the Tigers’ loss to Manatee. 

Clayton Dees, QB, Palmetto: Dees threw for 376 yards and three touchdowns in the loss to Manatee.
