Final 2025 Georgia High School Football State Rankings

Buford claims 6A crown, the final state No. 1 ranking and national championship; Five Georgia state champions finish 15-0

The 2025 Georgia high school football season came to a close with the GHSA state championship games at the Mercedes Benz Dome in Atlanta and, what a season it was.

The Class 6A final between Buford and Carrollton turned out to be the De Facto the National Championship Game, as the Wolves won a 28-21 thriller and was later named High School On SI National Champions. Carrollton finished No. 6 in the national rankings and Class 5A champion Thomas County Central, cemented a No. 12 national ranking with its state title.

A total of five teams in our final Top 25 state rankings finished with 15-0 records, including Buford, TCC, 4A state champion Creekside, 2A state champ Carver-Columbus and 3A state champ Sandy Creek.
