Madison's Bruce Benson, an acclaimed speech-arts coach for 27 years, was instrumental in the current structure of how the state debate contest is scored. His teams were top-four finishers 11 times, including back-to-back state titles in 2014 and 2015.

Benson was inducted into the Idaho Speech Arts Teachers Association (ISATA) hall of fame in 2010.

Randy Potter was a football, basketball and track and field coach at Kinberly High School in 1986 before moving into athletic administration at Homedale, Skyview and Columbia High Schools.

He was recognized with five career coach of the year awards, six district athletic director of the year honors - and four state AD of the year awards. Earlier this year, he was inducted into the IAAA hall of fame.

This summer's induction ceremony will take place at the downtown Boise Centre. Ticket information will be made available in the next couple of weeks.
