Congratulations to Buffalo Valley boys basketball guard Brendon Champlin for being voted SBLive’s Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week for Jan. 10-16!

The junior finished with a team-high 22 points to pace Buffalo Valley to a 64-54 win Tuesday against McCurtain.

Champlin received 47.57% of the vote, beating out Stilwell's Codey Petree who finished second with 44.1%. Bishop Kelley's Seth Taylor finished third with 2.85% and Red Oak's Reed Kauk finished fourth with 1.97%.

Elam finished with a team-high 16 points as the Indians prevailed at Wilburton, 68-31, on Tuesday.

Reed Kauk, Red Oak boys basketball

Kauk scored 34 points and made eight 3-point baskets as the Eagles recorded a 67-42 win at home Tuesday against Clayton.

Zander Baker, Putnam City North boys basketball

Baker finished with 25 points as PC North defeated Putnam City West on Tuesday, 58-40; then had 18 points in a 60-45 win at Enid on Friday.

Hayden Smith, Tahlequah boys basketball

Smith led the Tigers with 14 points in their 75-37 win at home against Skiatook on Friday.

Aaron Potter, Tulsa Booker T. Washington boys basketball

Potter had 24 points to help lead the undefeated Hornets to a 65-61 win at Owasso on Friday.

Graham Tawwater, Bishop McGuinness boys basketball

Tawwater led the Fighting Irish with 18 points in their 79-61 win against Bishop Kelley on Saturday at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.

Connor Goodson, Norman boys basketball

Goodson had a team-high 23 points to help pace the Tigers to a 62-59 win at home Friday against Moore.

Cal Furnish, Crossings Christian boys basketball

Furnish ended up with 27 points and made four 3-pointers while adding five assists and five steals in his team’s 78-60 win against Christian Heritage.

Dylan Warlick, Edmond North boys basketball

Warlick scored 35 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the Huskies’ 74-54 win Friday against Edmond Deer Creek. He also blocked a shot with time running out Tuesday to preserve North’s 56-54 win against Moore.

Quincy Hopkins, Midwest City Carl Albert boys basketball

Hopkins scored 15 points to help lead the Titans to a 61-56 win Friday against the OKC Storm.

Hayden Brooks, Davenport boys basketball

Brooks had 41 points as Davenport prevailed in its Homecoming game on Friday, with the Bulldogs beating Carney, 97-32.

David Castillo, Bartlesville boys basketball

Castillo finished with 24 points as the Bruins recorded an 82-54 win at home Friday against Sand Springs.

Jacobi Sebock, Midwest City boys basketball

Sebock had a team-high 14 points as the Bombers posted a 57-41 win Friday against Ponca City.

Brandon Garrison, Del City boys basketball

Garrison scored 16 points as the Eagles posted an 84-56 win against El Reno on Tuesday.

Jadon Cool, Holland Hall boys basketball

Cool turned in a 17-point performance to help lead the Dutch past Lincoln Christian, 67-51, on Thursday. He also had 18 points the next night, a 55-47 Holland Hall win against Metro Christian.

Killian Spellman, Tulsa Memorial boys basketball

Spellman scored 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Chargers defeated Tulsa Rogers, 74-44.

Anthony Allen, Broken Arrow boys basketball

Allen had 19 points, six rebounds and four blocked shots as the Tigers picked up a big 66-62 road win Friday at Tulsa Union.

Noah Reimer, Lincoln Christian boys basketball

Reimer had 22 points while recording 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the Bulldogs’ 54-31 win Friday at Rejoice Christian.

Seth Taylor, Bishop Kelley boys basketball

Taylor turned in a team-high 29 points as the Comets went to McAlester on Tuesday and came away with an 87-77 win.

Justin Wormell, Bishop Kelley boys basketball

Wormell scored 21 points and made three 3’s to lead the Comets to a 61-49 win at home Friday against Tulsa Hale.

Austin Frazier, Cashion boys basketball

Frazier finished with 23 points, six of those coming in overtime, as the Wildcats outlasted Wynnewood, 45-39, on Saturday. He also had 16 points on Friday in a 79-23 win against Wellston.

DeShawn Clark, Haskell boys basketball

Clark had nine of his team-high 19 points in the third quarter as the Haymakers recorded a 53-47 win against Okmulgee on Friday.

Kejuan Reynolds, Porter boys basketball

Reynolds had 48 points, 30 in the first half, in the Pirates’ 87-68 win Tuesday against Ketchum. He then scored 43 on Thursday in a 70-55 win against Dewar and added 18 points the next night as the Pirates defeated Liberty, 59-52.

JaShawn Davison, Wagoner boys basketball

Davison scored 21 points to help lead the Bulldogs to a 53-49 win at Sallisaw on Tuesday.

Blane Scott, Fort Gibson boys basketball

Scott had 17 points, 11 coming in the second half, to help pace the Tigers past Catoosa on Tuesday, 72-62.

Kieler Young, Broken Bow boys basketball

Young had a career-high 43 points and hit six 3-pointers to help the Savages to a 71-66 overtime win Friday at Caddo.

Chase Sucharda, Newcastle boys basketball

Sucharda scored 29 points and grabbed five rebounds and had three assists as the Racers defeated Chickasha, 66-35, on Tuesday.

Ben Averitt, Jenks boys basketball

Averitt scored 24 points to help the Trojans rally from an 11-point second-half deficit to record a 72-70 overtime win Tuesday at Tulsa Union. He also had 13 rebounds and six assists.

Jordan Harrison, Classen SAS girls basketball

Harrison set a single-game Oklahoma 5-on-5 scoring record with 74 points in the Lady Comets’ 99-26 win against Northwest Classen. She was 27-of-54 from the field, made 14 3-pointers and also came up with 12 steals.

Carrigan Hill, Tulsa Booker T. Washington girls basketball

Hill had 14 of her 18 points in the first half to help pace the Lady Hornets to a 61-48 win against Owasso. She also hit four 3’s.

Rachel Avedon, Bishop Kelley girls basketball

Avedon scored 17 points as the Lady Comets registered a 46-26 win against Bishop McGuinness Saturday at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.

Aaliyah Henderson, Norman girls basketball

Henderson scored 11 of her 19 points by halftime, including the Lady Tigers’ first eight points, as Norman edged Moore on Friday, 54-53.

Tatum Havens, Tahlequah girls basketball

Havens scored 20 points, 15 in the first half, and converted six 3-pointers to help the Lady Tigers past Skiatook on Friday, 77-15.

Hallie Kitchens, Broken Arrow girls basketball

Kitchens hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to help the Lady Tigers to a 38-37 win at Tulsa Union on Friday.

Brook Shelly, Cashion girls basketball

Shelly scored 18 points as the Lady Wildcats posted a 65-45 win against Wynnewood on Saturday.

Collins had 28 of her 30 points in the first half in the Lady Mustangs’ 64-38 win against Haskell on Thursday, and had 26 points a night later in Okay’s 61-35 win against Gore.

Mika Scott, Pocola girls basketball

Scott scored 14 points as the Lady Indians stayed undefeated after a 54-24 win at Wilburton on Tuesday.

Idaysia Mills, McCurtain girls basketball

Mills had a team-high 17 points as McCurtain posted a 53-41 win Tuesday at Buffalo Valley.

Aidan Howze, Bartlesville girls swimming

Howze won two individual events at last week’s Frontier Valley Conference meet at Jenks. She was first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:13.56) and was first in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Claire McDaris, Broken Arrow girls swimming

McDaris won the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.91) and was third in the 500-yard freestyle at last week’s Frontier Valley Conference meet.

Ryan Short, Jenks boys swimming

Short won two events at last week’s Frontier Valley Conference meet, the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.6) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.51).

J. Pangburn, Jenks girls swimming

Pangburn finished first in both the girls 50-yard freestyle (:25.21) and the 100-yard freestyle (:55.61) at last week’s Frontier Valley Conference meet in Jenks.

Trenton vonHartitzsch, Tulsa Union boys swimming

vonHartitzsch took two first-place events at last week’s Frontier Valley Conference meet, the boys 50-yard freestyle (:22.73) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.81).

Griffin Craig, Bartlesville boys swimming

Craig won the boys 200-yard individual medley (2:00.75) and the 100-yard backstroke (:54.67) at last week’s Frontier Valley Conference meet.

Marissa Williams, Jenks girls swimming

Williams was first in the girls 100-yard backstroke (1:02.71) and the girls 100-yard butterfly (1:02.14) at last week’s Frontier Valley Conference meet.

Reese Davis, Tuttle boys wrestling

Davis totaled 48.5 points in winning the 145-pound weight class at this weekend’s Catoosa Port City Classic, as the Tigers claimed the team championship. Davis had two pin-falls and two major decisions to reach the finals, in which he prevailed with a 3-2 decision.

J.J. McComas, Stillwater boys wrestling

McComas scored 31 points in winning the 132-pound weight class at the COAC conference tournament this weekend, helping Stillwater take first in the boys division. He had two falls and a major decision prior to the finals, in which he won with a pin-fall in 3:30.

Addyson Lindsey, Norman girls wrestling

Lindsey had 24 points in winning the 235-pound weight class as Norman won the girls team title at the COAC conference tournament. She got two pin-falls to reach the finals; then in the finals, took first place with a 2-0 decision.

Cameron Steed, Collinsville boys wrestling

Steed registered 46 points in taking first place in the 152-pound weight class at the Bobby Lyons Invitational in Sand Springs. Steed had four pin-falls prior to the finals, in which he prevailed with a 4-3 decision as Collinsville finished second in the team standings, the highest team finish by an Oklahoma school.

Tyler Gares, Cache boys wrestling

Gares had 28 points as he won the 220-pound weight class at the Western Conference meet in Kingfisher, helping Cache take first in the team standings. He had three pinf-alls to win the title, including 2:54 in the championship match.

Kevin Overton, Norman North boys basketball

Overton ended up with 21 points as the Timberwolves rallied from a halftime deficit to win at Edmond Santa Fe, 58-51, on Friday.
