We have 10 players nominated this week for SBLive’s South Carolina Girls Basketball Player of the Week from Jan. 15-20 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Aveion Walker, Denmark-Olar

Walker produced a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds as well as 4 steals as the Vikings rolled past Hunter-Kinard-Tyler 44-17.

Braylin Mungo, Camden

Mungo scored 28 points as the Bulldogs rolled past Lake City 85-20. The 5-foot-5 freshman is averaging 11.2 points per game.

Michaela Fairwell, Dutch Fork

Fairwell produced a triple-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals as the Silver Foxes downed Lexington 48-33.

Joyce Edwards, Camden

The superlatives keep piling up for the South Carolina commit. This time Edwards erupted for a school-record 52 points while also getting 18 rebounds, 9 assists, 8 steals and 5 blocks in a 99-36 rout of Darlington.

Aiyana Murrell, Lewisville

The 6-foot-1 sophomore posted a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds in a 45-27 win over C.A. Johnson. But that’s not all. Murrell also had 8 steals, 4 blocked shots and 3 assists.

Zoey Miller, Wilson

Miller scored 17 points and helped pave the way for the Tigers to rally from a double-digit deficit and beat South Florence 64-61.

Jenia Haigler, Orangeburg-Wilkinson

Haigler turned in a tremendous effort with 30 points, 10 steals and 5 assists as the Bruinettes beat Gilbert 65-39.

Tamia Watkins, Andrew Jackson

Watkins scored 26 points on 12-of-18 shooting in the Volunteers’ 74-31 rout of York Prep. The 6-foot-1 junior also had 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. Watkins averages 25.4 points and 10.9 rebounds per game.

Raina McGowens, Wren

McGowens had 22 points, 4 assists and 4 steals as Wren overwhelmed Fountain Inn 68-20. The 5-foot-10 senior guard also became the school’s all-time leading scorer with 2,069 points.

Zikira Henderson, Blue Ridge

Henderson had a great all-around game with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals in a 66-29 pounding of Travelers Rest. The 5-foot-5 senior guard also had 21 points in a 64-53 win over Eastside.
