High schools and high school sports across Washington are closed for the school year, but the Scorebook Live Today podcast has ramped things up.

Each weekday, analyst Dan Dickau is interviewing a special guest from across the sports and entertainment spectrum. Dickau hopes to both entertain and provide perspective to understand how uniquely sports can prepare one for a wide array of things.

On Thursday, motivational speaker Alan Stein Jr. joins. He's a former college basketball player, a performance coach who has worked with some of the world's best athletes and he's the author of the book "Raise Your Game: High performance secrets from the best." He talks about how he's staying sharp amid COVID-19 shutdowns, his experiences with Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant and more.
