While high schools and high school sports across Washington are closed for the school year, the Scorebook Live Today podcast has ramped things up.

Each weekday, analyst Dan Dickau is interviewing a special guest from across the sports and entertainment spectrum. Dickau hopes to both entertain and provide perspective to understand how uniquely sports can prepare one for a wide array of things.

On Friday, Mt. Spokane head boys basketball coach David Wagenblast joins. He was at the helm during the Wildcats' 2019 run to the 3A state title game. The Wildcats returned to the Tacoma Dome in March. Wagenblast talked about growing as a coach under the tutelage of Beaverton (Ore.)'s Nick Robertson, childhood aspirations in Eastern Oregon.
