In jam-packed Class 4A team championship race, three-time defending champion Chiawana holds overnight lead
TACOMA - The best wrestlers in the state of Washington were all under one big roof of the Tacoma Dome for the first day of Mat Classic XXXIV on Friday.
And in eight action-packed hours, brackets for all seven tournaments had revealed semifinal participants.
As far as the team races, three-time defending Class 4A Chiawana holds a narrow lead over Tahoma. Mead (3A), Orting (2A), Toppenish (1A), Forks (2B/1B) and the Moses Lake and Toppenish girls all lead their respective tournaments.
