Boy struck in head with foul ball out of hospital
ATLANTA (AP) The 8-year-old boy who was struck in the head by a foul ball at Turner Field has been released from the hospital and is ''doing well.''
The child was injured in the seventh inning of Tuesday night's game when Milwaukee outfielder Carlos Gomez lined a pitch from Atlanta's Julio Teheran into the seats behind the Braves' first-base dugout.
While the family requested privacy and boy's name was not released, the Braves said Thursday they had received a call from the victim. He thanked the players who visited him in the hospital and let the team ''know that he's home and doing well.''
