NEW YORK (AP) A minor league second baseman in the Atlanta Braves system has been suspended 50 games for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance.

The commissioner's office said Friday that Mikey Reynolds of Single-A Rome tested positive for the stimulant methylphenidate.

The 23-year-old Reynolds was a fifth-round draft pick out of Texas A&M last year. He was batting .188 in 18 games this season.

There have been 30 players suspended this year under the minor league drug program.
