Ned Yost: 'unlikely' Jason Vargas starts Sunday

Tuesday July 22nd, 2014

Vargas had an appendectomy on July 10 and has been on the DL since. The left-hander threw a 20-pitch side session Monday, but Yost says he still feels awkward when he throws.

Vargas is 8-4 with a career-low 3.31 ERA in 19 starts this season.
