Yankees-Orioles game postponed by rain

BALTIMORE (AP) The New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles game scheduled for Tuesday evening has been postponed because of rain.

The game was scrubbed four hours before the scheduled 7 p.m. start time. Shane Greene (3-1) had been set to face Baltimore's Wei-Yin Chen (12-4).

The game will made up on Sept. 12 as part of a split-admission doubleheader.

Tuesday's game was to be the second of a three-game series between the first-place Orioles and third-place Yankees, who are seven games back. The teams now have a four-game weekend series in Baltimore set for September.
