SAN DIEGO (AP) Padres first baseman Yonder Alonso left Tuesday night's game against the Colorado Rockies in the fourth inning with a right forearm strain.

Alonso walked and scored a run in the second inning. He was replaced at first base by Tommy Medica, who began the game in left field, to start the top of the fourth. Yangervis Solarte moved from third base to left field, and Chris Nelson entered the game at third base and replaced Alonso in the fourth spot in the batting order.

Alonso missed 30 games earlier this season with a tendinitis in his right wrist. He came off the disabled list on July 26.
