Baltimore Orioles place Manny Machado on 15-day DL
The Baltimore Oriolesplaced third baseman Manny Machado on the 15-day DL Thursday, retroactive to Aug. 12. Machado was diagnosed with a right knee sprain after injuring the knee during an at-bat in Monday's game against the New York Yankees.
Machado had offseason surgery to repair a ligament in his left knee, which caused him to miss the first month of the season.
