Benches cleared in the 13th inning of ALDS Game 2 between the Blue Jays and Rangers after Josh Donaldson pulled a ball foul off relief pitcher Keona Kela and exchanged words with him.

Donaldson nearly hit the ball for a home run and was visibly upset. As Kela approached home plate to get a new baseball, Donaldson appeared to bark at him. Kela then continued to move toward the plate, and catcher Chris Giminez had to hold him back.

Both teams’ benches and bullpens then cleared.

Earlier in the game, Rangers first baseman Mike Napolitook a late slide towards second base, taking out Blue Jay second baseman Ryan Goins.

Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports that the Rangers bench thought Donaldson was upset that Kela was quick-pitching.
