The Los Angeles Angels have been on the road for the past week, and it all started in Cleveland to take on the Guardians. They were only able to take one out of three in that series, and in the midst of that, they lost their third baseman, Anthony Rendon

Rendon started on Saturday but was pulled from the game due to left groin tightness. He landed in the IL, and manager Phil Nevin provided an update to Angels insider Jeff Flecther on his third baseman.

“There are a few different spots where it’s at,” Nevin said. “Hopefully they all heal at the same time and it won’t be too long.”

The Angels were encouraged by Rendon's MRI results, who landed on the 10-day IL that was retroactive on Sunday.

The earliest Anthony can return from the left groin strain is May 24th, a home game against the Boston Red Sox.

This isn't the first time we could expect the 32-year-old back as soon as possible. For the past two seasons, Rendon was scheduled to come back from injury, but it would get pushed back due to many setbacks he'd suffer. Hopefully, that isn't the case this time, as the Halos need the World Series champion to have a successful season.

Nevin also said that Rendon will do baseball activities when the Halos make their way back to Anaheim, and he'll be re-evaluated till then.

We're happy he's doing well and hope to see him back on the diamond soon.
