Let's keep it real everyone, the jobs of experts and analysts are to know the game of baseball down to a hinge and hold superstars accountable. The average person does not have the time to fully invest into sports, especially one like baseball where so many games are played within a week. Therefore, analysts hold a ton of power when it comes to forging popular opinions within communities.

The general stigma surrounding the Los Angeles Angels' superstars, Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout, is that they are two of the most talented names in the league but have not been able to accomplish anything during their time together. And this is true, whether it be due to injuries or lack of roster depth, but we really haven't been able to see these two compete in games that actually matter.

Could 2023 be the year? Well, now that they have won four straight series and have entered themselves into the wild card race, it is not out of the question. And then you look at their most recent Sunday win over the Kansas City Royals and that is what you want to see from the superstar duo.

Let's take a look at a bullpen video that has been going viral from their 5-2 win to really show you guys.

The Angels were actually down 1-2 right before this heading into the fifth inning but Shohei Ohtani decided to change this with his 24th homer of the season that also brought in Taylor Ward with him to give LA the lead.

However, you'll see in this video that Ohtani was just about to take off the famous LA Kabuto home run hat when he heard a huge 'CRACK' and looked up to see Mike Trout hit his own first home run in about a week and a half.

Trout entered this game in a rare slump but went two for three at the plate and went back to back on homers with Ohtani right here. And this sequence shows just how lethal the two of them can be down the stretch of the season. No matter what inning they are in or what the score is, they possess the ability to rake at any moment before the other star is even done celebrating.
