Los Angeles Angels fans found out that Mickey Moniak would be joining their big league roster earlier this month and it did not take long for them to fall in love with him and everything he brings to the squad. His debut with the team landed on his 25th birthday and he gave a warm thank you to the franchise with a leadoff homer at his first at-bat.

Since the, he's been a key offensive and defensive contributor every time he suits up. Through 13 games with the Halos, he has been able to bat .318 while maintaining an OPS of 1.038. His star teammates already love him and Moniak has been no short of confidence at all despite previously being let go by the Philadelphia Phillies.

Moniak has been the comeback story that LA has needed this season. Fans have witnessed the clubhouse go through a rollercoaster ride once again just two months into the year as they look great some games and struggle in others.

And the former number one overall pick always envisioned his career panning out like this and believes that he will be able to sustain this level of play.

Moniak spoke to Bally Sports West and revealed how he structured this vision for himself so many years ago.

"I think it goes back to going into Spring Training two years ago," said Moniak. "I did a lot of looking in the mirror and trying to figure out what I need to do to get ready for a big league season. I think what's happening right now isn't an overnight thing, it's been a lot of years in the making."

LA has all the tools to make a nice playoff push and the breakout of Moniak will only help them in that regard.
