The Los Angeles Angels have been able to make room for a lot of new prospects this season and their investments have been paying off thus far. Fans are quickly falling in love with the two-way skillset Mickey Moniak has brought ever since he got called up and now the bullpen has also welcomed a number of new faces.

Ben Joyce is already looking comfortable in the couple of innings he's played and Chase Silseth was also initially given an opportunity in the starting rotation before finding a more comfortable role as a reliever. This is one of the most important years in franchise history as LA looks to make the playoffs for the first time since 2014 and hold onto Shohei Ohtani.

Team manager Phil Nevin has already had to deal with a lot in his first season as the head of the Halos but one thing he has done right is trust in the clubhouse's farm system and lean on his rookies.

Nevin also recently spoke on players that were a part of their major league roster in the past such as Ryan Tepera and Reyes Moronta who played their way off of the team. He did not hold back when explaining why those decisions were made.

“I’m not saying that guys that have been here before and were sent out aren’t capable of pitching in those (high-leverage) situations,” Angels manager Phil Nevin said. “We feel like we’ve got guys that can be better in those situations. That’s just the facts. That’s why they’re here. And that’s why some guys aren’t here.”

Like I mentioned earlier, Nevin already has a lot on his plate already and the last thing he should do is dwell on the past. He has a solid group right now and they just need to continue taking care of business.
