The Los Angeles Angels earned a gritty 1-0 victory over the Minnesota Twins a day after allowing the Twins to secure a playoff spot with a loss.

In other news, the Angels announced that both Tyler Anderson and Anthony Rendon's seasons were over due to injury setbacks. As the Angels are no longer playing meaningful baseball, there is no point in risking re-injury for two players who could play major roles on the team next season.
