Angels Notes: Trout Out for the Season, Thaiss Done on Defense, Moustakas Back in the Big Leagues

Star hitter Mike Trout is done for the year.

The offseason is almost upon us, and with it will come a sense of relief for the Angels after the second half of the season brought little other than disappointment and uncertainty for the Halos' future.

Among those disappointing and existentially threatening events was the injury to Mike Trout, who will sit out for the remainder of the season. Only time will tell whether Trout will remain an Angel by the beginning of the 2024 season.

In other news, Phil Nevin spoke about the decision to shut down Trout, Matt Thaiss might only play in a limited role this season and Mike Moustakas returned from the injured list
