The Los Angeles Angels are set to take on their second of a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs. They won last night and will look to take control of the series today.

However, they might look a little different in tonight's game. According to Angels insider Sam Blum, the Halos' former top prospect Jo Adell has a locker room in the Angels clubhouse and could be set to play a role in tonight's game.

The reason for the call-up was because their right fielder Hunter Renfroe will be going into the paternity list, and Adell is the only outfielder that is on the 40-man roster.

Regardless, Adell is the right call. In his minor league career, he is slashing .288/.355/.549 with a .904 OPS. The 24-year-old has only played 161 games in the majors with the Halos and although his numbers aren't on the same level as his minor league one's, but he hasn't gottena. true opportunity to shine.

Adell is a former 2017 first round pick by the Angels, and fans have been waiting to see him shine in the bigs. From the looks of it, he won't be around for a long time but hoepfully that changes down the road.

We'll see what type of role he plays for the Halos in tonight's matchup.
