The Los Angeles Angels are halfway through the season, and things are looking good for the team so far. The Halos are in a prime position to get to the postseason through the first half of the season, a position in which they haven't been since 2014.

They look like they'll stay afloat for the rest of the season or even beyond with the help of their two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani is the main reason for the success the Halos have had thus far, and the numbers show it.

Ohtani has had one hell of a month in June, and he's barely getting started. The Halos finished their four-game series against the White Sox, and even though they dropped the last two games, Ohtani didn't miss a beat.

The 28-year-old continues to do it all for his team, including hitting dingers out of the park. Ohtani did just that on Thursday, recording his 14th home run of the month that made Angels history,

The two-way superstar's 438-foot home run was his 14th in June, the most by a Halos player in a single month in franchise history. It broke the record of 13 previously held by Ohtani (June 2021), Albert Pujols (June 2015) and Tim Salmon (June 1996).

This guy is even breaking his own records and legends of the past. Shohei has been in the league for six seasons, and he's appeared to have done it all, but even his teammates and coaches are still in shock at his play.

"He wows you every day with all the records and everything coming our way," Angels manager Phil Nevin said. "He’s just such a talent, it’s fun to watch."

Nevin sees him every day and is still in awe of his play. Ohtani's All-Star teammate, Mike Trout, is also in awe and says he's never seen a month like Ohtani's in June.

“It’s been an amazing month,” Trout said. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it. It’s something we’ll never see again. And I have front row seats watching it. It’s pretty special what he’s doing.”

June has been very kind to the slugger/ace, and we can't wait to see what else he has in store for us.
