All Braves Spring Training Home Games To Be Streamed Beginning Thursday

The Atlanta Braves, with a lack of broadcast slots this spring, are taking matters into their own hands

The Atlanta Braves want to let you watch their spring training games.

It's not the team's fault that Bally Sports is choosing to broadcast only eight games, with only three others being picked up by other networks.

So they're taking matters into their own hands, with plans to begin streaming every home game for the rest of the season on MLB.tv.

Perusing the daily schedule, every home game will have a Braves feed on MLB.tv, with the radio call accompanied by video from the ballpark.

It's a welcome revelation for fans, who have been disappointed that none of Atlanta's games to date were available to watch.

There's exceptions to this - some split squad games, where part of the team stays at home and part of the team travels to a nearby opponent, won't have a video stream of the away portion. Thursday the 29th, for instance, Atlanta both hosts the Minnesota Twins and travels to take on the Tampa Bay Rays. The Twins matchup is available for streaming, but not the Rays portion.

This raises the number of available viewing windows in Grapefruit League for the team from only eleven to twenty-one, with only a few road matchups unavailable (as of now) for viewing.

And even there, it's always possible the other organization begins streaming between now and those dates.
