WATCH: Austin Riley destroys a ball into the left-field seats for his 8th home run of the season

The Braves continue to score early and often

Austin Riley is getting hot at the plate.

Riley crushed a ball in the top of the first inning deep into the left-center seats. His home run was 459 feet and was a no-doubter. The ball traveled 113.8 mph off the bat and was his eighth of the season. 

Riley is now 11 for 26 in his last eight games, including five doubles.

The home run gave the Braves a 2-0 lead over the Phillies. The Braves continue to score early and often, leading Major League Baseball in runs scored in the first inning. 

In the top of the second inning, the Phillies answered with a two-run home run from Alec Bohm and then an RBI double from Bryson Stott. The Phillies have a 3-2 lead headed to the bottom of the second inning.
