Lineup, how to watch Atlanta's series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies on OutKast Night

Atlanta's hosting various tributes to iconic hip hop duo OutKast for tonight's matchup against the Phillies, including the dopest bobblehead of the season

The Atlanta Braves, having just escaped being swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers, welcome divisional foe Philadelphia to Truist Park for a four game set. The series opener coincides with OutKast Night, a tribute to the Iconic Atlanta hip-hop duo that features a first pitch from member big Boi, a custom bobblehead, and special music and food specials throughout the evening.

As much as Atlanta fans feel like the team has struggled this season, and the last week in particular (5-5 in the last ten), Philadelphia's had it even worse. The Phillies, 23-26, are 3-7 in their last ten and followed up a sweep at the hands of San Francisco with a narrow series win against the Cubs and a series loss to Arizona. Philly's currently sitting in 4th place in the division, seven games back of Atlanta and only two games up of the Washington Nationals.

Both teams are looking to get right in a matchup that is always tightly contested, with Atlanta taking eleven of nineteen matchups from Philadelphia last season but Philly getting the last laugh, as they eliminated the Braves from postseason contention in the National League Division Series as they marched to the World Series, eventually losing in six games to the Houston Astros.

Atlanta Braves Lineup for Thursday May 25th

Here's how Atlanta will line up for the contest:

It's their conventional lineup for a right-handed starter, as Atlanta prepares for Aaron Nola.

Atlanta Braves vs Philadelphia Phillies Pitching Matchup

As we mentioned earlier today, Atlanta's officially called up Dylan Dodd for today's matchup. On the season, Dodd is 2-1 with a 6.46 ERA in his three starts. He's struck out seven in his fifteen and a third innings of work, walking four and giving up three homeruns. For AAA Gwinnett, Dodd has uncharacteristically struggled as well, with a 1-3 record and 6.67 ERA in his six starts for the Stripers.

Opposing Dodd for Philly is RHP Aaron Nola. The righty is 4-3 on the season with a 4.31 ERA in his ten starts on the season. He's a known quantity to Atlanta, having faced the Braves thirty times in his career and sitting at 15-10 with a 3.39 ERA lifetime against Atlanta. Several Braves have prolific records against him, most notably Ronald Acuña Jr and his four homeruns in thirty-six at-bats and Austin Riley and Marcell Ozuna both with three.
