Murphy's twelfth home run of the season shrinks the Mets lead to 4-3

Sean Murphy crushed a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth to bring the Braves within one run of the Mets. The Mets lead 4-3 as the game heads to the top of the sixth inning.

This was home run number twelve for Murphy, and he now has forty-two RBIs on the season. He continues to be a dominant force behind the plate and in the batter's box.

Max Scherzer has given up eight hits while striking out nine in the game thus far. The other run he allowed was on an Orlando Arcia infield hit with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth. Michael Harris struck out to end the inning, leaving three runners on base.

Tonight's game broadcast, with Voice of the Braves Brandon Gaudin, is available inside Braves Country on Bally Sports South and is available on MLB.TV outside of the broadcast area. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
