Caden Grice once again turned in a dominant appearance with the Visalia Rawhide. Last year's supplemental second rounder struck out five in 3 2/3 scoreless innings, with the lone baserunner reaching on a hit-by-pitch. While he didn't start the game, entering the game in the 4th, he was still able to stretch out to 43 pitches. In two appearances, he's yet to allow a hit or walk a batter in 6 1/3 scoreless innings with 12 strikeouts while only two batters have successfully reached base.

Triple-A: Reno Aces 1, Tacoma Rainiers 6

For the first time this season, outfielder Jorge Barrosa did not record a hit with Reno. He recorded at least one hit in his first eight games played with the Aces, but took an 0-for-3 with a walk. Adrian Del Castillo took an 0-for-3, but recorded another exit velocity of 100+ MPH on a lineout to center. Andrew Saalfrank struggled in his one inning of work, allowing three runs in the 8th on two hits and a walk.

Double-A: Amarillo Sod Poodles 7, Midland RockHounds 4

Wilderd Patiño led off the game with a home run and finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored. Ivan Melendez had two hits, including a double on a hard-hit ground ball down the left field line that plated two runs. A.J. Vukovich doubled and scored as part of a five-run 3rd. Caleb Roberts finished 2-for-4. Christian Montes De Oca recorded his first save of the season, striking out two in the 9th.

High-A: Hillsboro Hops 0, Vancouver Canadians 2

Spencer Giesting allowed an unearned run over four innings, but took a loss with a Hillsboro lineup missing their top three players was only able to muster up three hits, a walk, and a hit-by-pitch. Giesting allowed two hits, walked two, and struck out five. Christian Cerda drew the team's only walk.

Low-A: Visalia Rawhide 8, San Jose Giants 3

They flipped the order of pitchers in this game, as Landon Sims went ahead of Caden Grice. Sims struggled with command, the pitch timer, and committed an error. Overall he lasted just 1 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits, three walks, and just one strikeout.

The Rawhide scored five runs in the 6th. After loading the bases, Jansel Luis singled on a swinging bunt down the first base line and advanced on a throwing error by the pitcher. Cristofer Torin hit a ball that bounced high off the wall for a two-run triple.
