The Midsummer classic has arrived in Seattle as the National League All-Stars take on the American League All-Stars at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners.

There will be several Dodgers making an appearance in this year's All-Star game, but unfortunately, one of them is not Clayton Kershaw.

Kershaw was placed on the Dodgers injured list before the All-Star break, forcing him out of the All-Star starting rotation.

His shoulder soreness should keep him out for a few weeks, but it won't prevent him from enjoying the All-Star festivities.

As bummed as he is about missing out his 10th All-Star selection, he still believes in the idea of an All-Star game between the league's best and has expressed how fun it is to play in this game.

“I think it’s just fun to play...You don’t play a lot of games where the wins and losses don’t really matter. So just to be able to go out and kind of showcase everybody that’s so good in the game for the first half, is great for baseball and I think guys have fun with it."

It's certainly a lot of fun to watch as a fan - seeing the best in the league duke it out for bragging rights - but for the ballplayers, baseball seems to be a lot of fun when there isn't a lot of pressure on the line.

"Sometimes you don’t have the pressure. You get to do some fun things, like talk throughout the game or have some different things that maybe you wouldn’t have otherwise. So, I think that’s a cool part of it."
